Stephanie Plum, Hair Cuts, and Life in General

If you can't tell by the title, I recently went to see One For The Money. All I can say is that it was funny in spots, but the book is way funnier. And Katherine Heigl is not Stephanie Plum at all. She just can't do the Jersey accent (not that I could do any better; I just think that they could have picked someone else...Sandra Bullock for example).

I have also been listening to the Glee covers of Michael Jackson songs. "Smooth Criminal" on repeat is just as amazing as listening to "Carry On My Wayward Son" on repeat (hehe, Kansas and Supernatural reference, go me!). I have always loved listening to stringed instruments, but the cellos in the "Smooth Criminal" cover just blew me away. The only way to listen to the song is at top volume. Chills every time.

I am getting a hair cut today. And tomorrow I'm dying my hair red. I'm looking for a change and I kind of want to start dating. I haven't been on a date in over five years. I think it is time to try. Sadly I don't really know any guys and it might be difficult to meet guys at school. Maybe I should go to English Club...

Original Characters from Original Story are Making Noise

From a scene that I haven't totally figured out because Kristen is halfway across the country in this part of the story...maybe she flew home to see her best friend/cousin? Anyway, here is Alice and Kristen having a chat.

The room was lit with a single tall lamp in the corner. I was sitting on the floor and Kristen was sitting on my bed. I hadn't seen her in months and I was glad to see her. The only problem was that these weren't the best circumstances  to be visiting me under.

"Arthur is a douche. Why did I ever date him and why has he come back to screw with my life?" I asked my cousin.

Kristen looked up from the magazine she was looking at. "Sweetie, he never got over you."

"Well I got over him just fine. What his his problem? It was high school for crying out loud. And now something is going on between him and Ryan and I think Kara is involved."

Kristen raised a brow at me. "Kara? That hyper blond girl you and Ryan seem to have become acquainted with? That Kara?"

"Do I know any other Karas? No, I don't think so."

"What does Ryan have to say about all of this?"

I looked down at my hands, "I haven't talked to Ryan in a while," I said sheepishly.

"Why not? You two are friends." Kristen paused and I swear I heard her say "Could be more if you both made up your minds..." under her breath.

"What was that?" I asked.

Kristen gave me her innocent grin, "Oh nothing."

I'm now keeping three blogs instead of two...

Thanks English 481. Also there was a thing with a boy...but who knows what that was all about. How can a person be a pessimist and a hopeless romantic at the same time? I can feel the pessimistic side kicking in now and it makes me sad. I don't know what it all meant and I don't know if I'll ever see this guy again. I don't even know if he used his real name (for reasons I said on my other blog).

I think I'll just spend my weekend curled up on the sofa watching Supernatural. I only have one disk left of season one now.

BBC's Sherlock and Red Pandas

I have finally been able to watch Sherlock. It was three hours of time well spent on Sunday afternoon. I also spent time this weekend watching The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers. Sadly I didn't have time for The Return of the King.

Anywho, back to Sherlock. It was amazing! I was so happy with both of the episodes that are out at the moment. I mean, John and Sherlock are totally into each other, but they keep avoiding it. Sadly it isn't cannon, but it is a huge OTP. HUGE!

Classes, Literature, and School in General

Classes started yesterday and they are continuing today. I only have one class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but I have three classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. While this is good for Mondays and Fridays when there are usually days off of school, it really sucks for Tuesdays that feel like Mondays.

In other news one of the three literature courses I am taking is requiring a blog. I am hoping that the url "lostinliterature" isn't used somewhere, because I find it to be perfect. I might put the link here once it is set up. That way anyone who actually reads this would be able to see that I am keeping up on the blog once a week thing. I haven't let you down so far (then again it is only January...still plenty of time to screw up).

I am hoping to have another post later this week...maybe to fill in what has been going on.

Not that this is new news...

I am a terrible blogger, but as I have said on my other blog (that I started over the summer and seem to be paying more attention to) I am going to try and post once a week. As a college student who has found tumblr in the last year, this might be difficult for me. As this blog doesn't get much attention, I might slack off...hopefully not though.

I'm hoping to turn this blog into a space for some of my writing and try to get in the habbit of writing everyday. So if I seem to be saying weird things, it might not be from my personal point of view. I might also post some angsy life posts that I don't want people to see (like I said before, this blog doesn't get very many views). If I dissapear then I will have failed in my blogging related resolution. Which will make me sad *sad face inserted here*

Hopefully things will be nice and fun and shiney on here once again (I promise that I won't do any more fire chasing...it was scary the last time).

Dead Week

It has been a while dear blog. I apparently can't do anything consistantly except for school. I now have an associates degree and I'm at a four year university this year. How fun. More school. At least when I graduate I'll have a useless degree. Good thing I'm planning on opening a book store with my cousin. That will be grand.

In other news, my mother is disowning my sister, my sister is dating a criminal, and my roommate thinks I told her she had to drive my mom to the city (which isn't true, I asked her and told her she didn't have to do it, her answer is still no). Sounds fun doesn't it children?

My computer also hates me and it is the start of dead week, aka: the week before finals week. Besides this, life is a sunshine and daisies. NOT! Why does life have to be so complicated? I don't understand how this all could happen. The good news is I turn 21 in 20 days. Thank goodness for alcohol. Probably not the best thing however.

I should probably get back to my homework assignment that I would have had done about a half hour ago if my internet browser hadn't decided to close all by itself without any warning.
