Funerals, Witches, and Book Releases

This past week has been hard. A close family friend, who was like an aunt to me, died on July 23. She had a long and strong fight against skin cancer, but in the end the cancer won. What was really sad was that I had seen her on the weekend and she was fine. My mom, who has been practically been living there for three months, called after we got home that weekend to say that my aunt by choice had gone drastically down hill. Three days later, Mom called to say that she had died.

Lisa, I just want you to know that I love you. You have helped me through so many things and I love every little thing you have ever given me. I will miss you, but I know that you are in a better place with the ones you love that had gone on before you. I just want to let you know that Suzie misses you everyday and still looks around for you when the door opens. I love you very much and I'm sorry that I never really said it to you before you passed. Hugs and Kisses.

Now, on July 29 was the funeral mass, yes, she was Catholic, and her mother was dressed so strangely. *shakes head* There is a reason we call her Crazy Cathy... But the night before at the Vigil, Crazy Cathy had this long shawl on and seriously looked like a witch. It was a little frightening. At the funeral she was wearing, I really don't know what, but her granddaughter said that she needed a shawl, and I leaned over and said, "Then she would really look like a witch." We had a good laugh over that.

Once again, I am living through history and I will not be able to participate. Breaking Dawn is coming out tonight at 12:01 and I won't be able to get it until tomorrow afternoon at the latest. It sucks, because I wanted to go to the midnight release and I have found myself on a trip and not able to go. The same thing happened last summer with both the Harry Potter movie release and the Harry Potter book release. It really is suckish. So now I shall pout until after midnight and know that my friends have the book before me.
